Lucky Mike's Story

Everyone asks me "Why is your company named Lucky Mike's when your name is Ben?"...

Well here's the story..      A small business was built in 1984 called "Lucky Mike's Delivery Service" based out of Brooklyn, NY. The owner saved enough money to buy himself a small van to take advantage of a growing industry in delivery services. Working by himself long hours and weekends, he began to grow his business earning friends and and work contacts. As an uneducated man, he had to strive in the only thing he had... his honesty and value for work. Eventually he built an empire of fleets supplying all of the 5 boroughs with products in the garment industry. Not an owner of a fortune 500 company, but he did great things. He supported a wife and son, through life, and in all aspects.

Lucky Mike's delivery service eventually died along with the failing markets at the time. His son at the time was working in another field and wanted to do something for himself. Build his own legacy.

Lucky Mike worked for a transportation company for 2 years then his health deteriorated due to his smoking for 40 years. His son supported him throughout his ordeal and hoped for the best. He made a promise to his father if he were to ever start a business on his own, he would honor his fathers name. Miguel "Lucky Mike" Gauthier died May 13th, 2006 at 63.
